The fall of the Berlin Wall was celebrated as a victory for freedom in many parts of the world. But in the meantime, new walls have emerged in places like Morocco - and these, too, are meant to keep some people in and others out.<br /><br />To slow the flow of immigrants into the European Union, the EU has constructed an imposing barricade in Morocco. The Spanish enclave of Melilla is walled in by a six-meter high double fence with detection wires, radar and automatic tear gas dispensers. It's all intended to prevent African refugees from reaching European territory.
